New headlight mounts for Chris.....Look at this.
They're mounted. Now to put the front tire back on. She's back together and all buttoned up. Oh yeah... Time for another beer.
OK, I messed up the link below, just click here for the video...
So I put together a little video of what we did last year, didn't get everything because there was just too much to cover in 2 and a half minutes, but got the feel of the year anyway. We had a lot of good times....Click the picture below for the video....
It has been decided that the days of bike shop tire changing fees tyranny are over...Rich and DaViking decided to start doing their own tire work. True to form, a relatively simple job became an ordeal. Got the wheel off, easy peasy...Tire was a little trickier, and we managed to break one of Deacons brand new Harbor Freight special tire irons, but we got her off. Even managed to remove the broken spoke.....Time to try and true the wheel. No dice...The rim was off by at least half a tire width! Darn thing looked like a taco. It is amazing Rich didn't kill himself riding on it.....So its new wheel time. The wheel is going out to Vikings friend Joe of Jafty Cycles to have a new rim laced on it.
At least this time its not our fault it didn't get done!
Hers a couple pics of the days events. Stay tuned for Part II, coming soon to a theatre near you.
Pete's old lady, Kelly, did right by him and got him VIP tickets to see the Reverend Horton Heat at El Corazon on New Years Eve. Not only did they see a great show, but Pete got to meet the band and give the Rev a few guitar pointers. In his own words, "they treated old Pete like an old friend." Reverend Horton Heat is a class act, and so is Kelly...Heres some pics.
